The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services issued a request for information (RFI) seeking input on access to timely and quality Medicaid home and community-based services (HCBS) . This RFI sought information on strategies to expand access to HCBS and accelerate the balance of HCBS to institutional funding. It also sought information in response to reports from the Office of the Inspector General about concerns with the health, safety and welfare of people in HCBS programs and about fraud and financial abuse in HCBS programs (particularly personal care programs).
