Disability Law Colorado has an immediate opening for the Attorney Coordinator for the Protection and Advocacy for People with Developmental Disabilities (PADD) Program. The Attorney Coordinator will promote and protect the rights of individuals with developmental disabilities throughout the State of Colorado. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: coordinating the PADD Program, providing direct client representation including Administrative Hearings and other Courts, investigating allegations of abuse and neglect, analyzing and evaluating legal problems, representing Disability Law Colorado on various committees in the areas of human rights and developmental disabilities, testifying as needed during legislative session, and providing training on the rights of people with disabilities. This position includes supervisory responsibilities. Additionally, the Attorney Coordinator may assist the Protection and Advocacy for Individual Rights Program with disability discrimination in federally funded housing, employment, post-secondary education, public accommodations and government services.
